Approach

How we hold.

01

Long horizons

We are not a fund and we have no exit timetable. Businesses are acquired or built to be owned indefinitely. We believe taking the longer view improves the quality of decision making and yields more valuable companies.

02

Operators run operations

Each company has its own management and its own accountability. The group supplies capital, governance and introductions — not day-to-day instruction.

03

Separate by design

Trading and asset companies are held apart. Each business stands on its own balance sheet, so the risk in one does not become the risk in all.

Investment

What we are looking for.

We invest in talented individuals and teams who, at their core, want to make the world a better place. We are not chasing quick wins — we would rather make the right decision than the quickest one, and that shapes what interests us.

  • The people, before the projections We back talented individuals and teams. A strong team with an unproven idea interests us more than a weak one with a good spreadsheet.
  • Any stage, including day one Pre-revenue, early-stage, an idea still on paper, or an established business with thirty years behind it. We do not filter by stage.
  • A reason to exist beyond the return We look for founders who want to leave something better than they found it. That is not a soft criterion — it tends to predict how people behave when a business gets difficult.
  • Where we can add more than money We look for businesses where our own experience is worth something — building companies, raising finance, regulated industries, growing a team. Capital is the easy part. We would rather be the investor you call before a difficult decision than the one you update afterwards.

What we don't do

  • Anything structured around a quick exit
  • Passive positions with no voice and no board seat
  • Deals that depend on replacing the founding team
  • Businesses whose economics rely on treating people or the environment badly

Typical commitment: [RANGE TO BE CONFIRMED], with capacity to follow on.

Approaches from owners, advisers and intermediaries are welcome. Please write to us at enquiries@bcgroupholdings.com with a short summary rather than a full data pack in the first instance.

Responsibility

A standard we hold ourselves to.

Owning businesses for decades means living with the consequences of how they were run. That tends to sharpen the mind.

Ethics

We would rather lose the deal

We pay suppliers on their terms, not ours. We disclose our interests before we are asked. And we decline work we would struggle to explain afterwards — not because a policy says so, but because a business you intend to own for thirty years cannot afford the alternative.

Environment

Greener where it is genuinely possible

Where a lower-impact option exists and works, we take it — in how our buildings are run, how our suppliers are chosen and how our offices operate. We are also clear about the limits: a classic car collection and a football ground are not low-carbon enterprises, and we will not claim otherwise. We would rather make a smaller honest claim than a larger one we cannot evidence.

About

Privately held, deliberately.

BC Group Holdings is owned by its founder and his family. It takes its name from them.

The group exists to do one thing properly: hold good businesses for a long time. That means no external investors to satisfy, no fund life to manage against, and no pressure to sell a business that is working simply because a clock has run out.

The companies in the group have little in common on the surface — surgical technology, classic cars, a football club, residential property. What they share is that each was built or acquired because it could be run well for decades, and each is held by a parent with no intention of selling it.

The group is managed from London and its registered office is in Mayfair.
